Starbucks samples gave a chance to do an instant coffee tasting / review. Even as a Starbucks fan and supporter, I found the Via coffee quite disappointing - tasting more like coffee-flavored water than coffee.

I have to critique your review of Starbucks Via. I just got my samples in the mail and tried them. I thought they were great. I was so shocked I decided to go online and see what others were saying. I came across your review and was dissapointed in it for several reasons. First, the package states that you are to pour the coffee into the cup first and then fill with hot water. You obviously didn't look at the 3 simple instructions on the package. That is the reason the coffee grounds were sticking to the packaging during your pour. It was because of the steam hitting them before falling out. Second, you were only supposed to add 8 oz of water yet you added 10 oz and then immediately stated that the drink was watery and lacked Starbucks flavor. I have been adding slightly less than 8 oz of water and it has significantly bolder and fuller flavor than I expected. Lastly, you stirred the grounds very quickly and probably should have stirred twice as long in my opinion. Not to mention the glass you chose would probably make any coffee taste strange. I wanted to comment because I was looking for an honest and accurate review. Your review was so flawed in process that there is no way it could be accurate in review! JMHO!
